This market tracks whether the total number of kills in Game 4 of the best-of-five League of Legends match between FURIA Esports and MVK Esports will be over or under 27.5. Currently, Polymarket gives a 50.0% probability to Total Kills Over/Under 27.5, while Total Kills Over/Under 30.5 is at 49.5%. Resolution will be based on data from https://gol.gg/esports/home. Keep an eye on the start of the Upper Bracket Semifinal 1 match itself, scheduled for October 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET, as the game’s progression will directly influence the final kill count.
This market refers to the LoL Upper Bracket Semifinal 1 match between FURIA Esports and MVK Esports in the Worlds Play-In, initially scheduled for October 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "FURIA Esports" if FURIA Esports win the match against MVK Esports. This market will resolve to "MVK Esports" if MVK Esports win the match against FURIA Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like marketing or house biases, while this market relies on the collective predictions of informed traders. If there's a significant difference, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and discrepancies can arise due to differing information or analytical approaches. Examining these differences can offer valuable insights.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The market's price is driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe FURIA Esports will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the best-of-five series between FURIA Esports and MVK Esports at the LoL Worlds Play-In stage. The winning team, as determined by the official tournament organizers, will dictate the outcome of this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially announced and verified, and the platform confirms the resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or potential roster changes for either FURIA Esports or MVK Esports could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the tournament schedule or venue could also have an impact. Furthermore, strong performances by either team in preceding matches, or analysis from esports experts, could sway the market. Finally, significant volume entering the market, driven by new information or a change in prevailing opinion, could cause noticeable price movements.
