This market refers to the LoL Lower bracket final match between Cloud9 and LYON in the LCS Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Cloud9" if Cloud9 win the match against LYON. This market will resolve to "LYON" if LYON win the match against Cloud9. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. If a significant difference exists between the implied probability on Predict and sportsbook odds, it could indicate disagreement about the teams’ true chances of winning. It’s common to see prediction markets, especially closer to the event, become more accurate than traditional betting markets due to the wisdom of the crowd effect.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing potential outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, providing a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likelihood of Cloud9 winning against LYON. The current price indicates what percentage of the potential payout a trader needs to pay to hold a contract predicting that outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the best-of-five series between Cloud9 and LYON in the LoL LCS Playoffs. The team that wins the majority of the games will be declared the winner, and that result will determine the payout for winning contracts on Predict. Any disputes regarding the official result will be addressed using publicly available information from the League of Legends Championship Series.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market. Unexpected announcements regarding player health or roster changes for either Cloud9 or LYON would likely cause significant shifts. In-game performance during the series itself, such as a dominant early game by one team, could also rapidly adjust the market. Analyst predictions and public sentiment, particularly on social media, can also play a role, though to a lesser extent than concrete events. Any news suggesting a strategic advantage for one team over the other could lead to increased trading volume and altered probabilities on Predict.
