Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, it might indicate that prediction market participants have information or insights not fully priced into sportsbook lines. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to new information, as they are driven by continuous trading and updated beliefs about the outcome.
