Often, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets allow traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities, with this market potentially offering a more accurate reflection of collective belief. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, information access, and market dynamics.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence regarding the LKP Motor Lublin vs. Slask Wroclaw match.
