PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria centered around second-half goals, tiebreakers, and handling of game postponements or cancellations.Primary resolution logic: Official match statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore and Sofascore.

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves to the team scoring more goals in the second half (including stoppage time).
  • A tie in goals scored in the second half results in a 'Draw' outcome.
  • If the game is postponed, the market remains open until completion.
  • If the game is canceled, the market resolves to 'Draw'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 or to 'Draw' where applicable.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be accounted for.
Timing: Resolution occurs once the second half (including any added stoppage time) has concluded and a definitive result can be determined by the primary or fallback resolution sources. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, such as those found for this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the nature of how they are formed. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by the collective opinions of traders. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, especially when there’s significant information asymmetry or public disagreement. The volume of $339 traded on Polymarket and Predict demonstrates active engagement and a potentially more refined estimate of probabilities than a single sportsbook might offer.
