In the upcoming Premier League game between Liverpool FC and Manchester City FC, scheduled for October 11, 2026 at 11:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Liverpool FC vs. Manchester City FC match originally scheduled for October 11, 2026 at 11:30 AM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly express their beliefs. If a large number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price on this market will adjust accordingly. It's common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks in accuracy, especially when there's significant public interest and active trading. Analyzing both can provide a more comprehensive view of potential outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact first-half score. As more shares are purchased for a specific outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share represents the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of those actively trading on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score at the end of the first half of the Liverpool FC versus Manchester City FC match will determine the winning outcome. The official match data will be used to verify the result. Traders who hold shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution. It’s important to monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches.
Several factors could significantly influence trading activity in this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Liverpool or Manchester City would likely cause price shifts. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team's playing style, could also impact the market. Furthermore, any pre-match analysis from reputable sports analysts predicting a specific first-half scoreline could sway trader sentiment. Unexpected team formations announced shortly before kickoff are another potential catalyst for movement in this market.
