This market will resolve to "Arsenal FC" if Arsenal FC are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and sentiment from traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities of the same event, and differences can stem from varying levels of information and risk assessment.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether Liverpool or Arsenal will score first in the first half. As more shares are traded for one outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of shares directly corresponds to the perceived likelihood of that outcome, allowing traders to express their views and profit if their predictions prove correct. The current volume indicates the level of interest and conviction surrounding each team’s chances.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team, if any, scores the first goal during the first half of the Liverpool versus Arsenal match. The result will be based on official match data, ensuring an accurate and transparent resolution. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result of the first half.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Liverpool or Arsenal would likely cause significant shifts. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also impact trader sentiment. Even public opinion, reflected in pre-match analysis and pundit predictions, can contribute to price movements. Unexpected weather conditions or referee announcements might also play a role, though typically to a lesser extent, as traders adjust their assessments of each team’s chances.
