If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket, driving the market price closer to their assessment. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially as more information becomes available and the event approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the implied probability of that score occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective forecast. The market's efficiency stems from the incentive for traders to accurately predict the outcome, as profitable trades are rewarded. This dynamic pricing allows for a constantly updated assessment of the likely result.
This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Lithuania vs. Sweden match – the exact score – will be used to determine which shares pay out 1 USDC each. All other shares will be worth 0 USDC. Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Furthermore, as the match date approaches, any public statements from analysts or expert predictions could impact trader sentiment and subsequently, the prices on Polymarket.
