This event is for the upcoming UEFA Women's World Cup Qualification game, scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2026 between Lithuania and Sweden.
The markets resolve based on the full-time result of the Lithuania vs Sweden professional FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Women soccer match scheduled for October 9, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. A 'Yes' outcome for either Lithuania or Sweden occurs only if that specific team wins the match in regular time. If the match ends in a tie after regular time, the 'Tie' market resolves to 'Yes.' Should the game be cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets will resolve at a fair price as determined per platform rules. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not affect any market outcomes.
Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and access to information about the Lithuania vs. Sweden match. Trading volume also plays a role; a larger volume on one platform can lead to more efficient price discovery. Furthermore, the specific mechanisms for trading and market making on each platform—such as fees or order types—can influence price formation. These differences contribute to the observed price discrepancies.
