Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can take the opposite position, driving the price on Polymarket towards what they perceive as the true probability. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a large influx of information or a major event impacting the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes of the match. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and responsive market. The current price indicates the implied probability of each player winning, based on the aggregated activity of all traders.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
