Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect a different set of information and incentives compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to maximize profit, incorporating a margin for themselves, while prediction markets are driven by participants who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. This can lead to prediction market prices being more efficient and potentially more accurate, especially as the event approaches. However, sportsbook odds are often more readily available and may offer different betting options than this market.
