Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets, being peer-to-peer, tend to reflect the pure collective wisdom of the crowd. However, discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information and market participants. It's common to see this market and sportsbook odds converge closer to the event date as more information becomes available and betting activity increases on both sides.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of the participants. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that if many traders believe Le Havre is likely to win, the price of contracts predicting that outcome will increase, and vice versa. The current price reflects the implied probability of each outcome, offering a unique insight into the expectations surrounding the Ligue 1 match.

This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Ligue 1 match between Marseille and Le Havre, as reported by official sources. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome and settle all outstanding contracts. Traders should monitor official announcements for the final result and resolution timing.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or changes in team lineups would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Unexpected tactical decisions announced by either manager, or even weather conditions on match day, could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any major upsets in other Ligue 1 matches leading up to the game might influence perceptions of team form and overall confidence, potentially causing movement in this market.
