This set of markets tracks the combined number of set pieces awarded to both teams during the entire Levante versus Sevilla La Liga fixture, with thresholds ranging from seven to eleven corners.
The market resolves to Yes if the total number of corners awarded to both Levante and Sevilla during the entire match—including regulation time, stoppage time, and any extra time—reaches or exceeds the specified threshold (7+, 8+, 9+, 10+, or 11+). If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, cancellation, or insufficient play to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50. In cases of forfeit, disqualification, or concession before the match begins, all markets also resolve to $0.50. If these occur after play has begun and the governing body declares a winner, the market resolves based on that result. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often incorporating information not immediately available to sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows for continuous price discovery as new information emerges. It’s common to see differences between prediction market prices and sportsbook odds, especially closer to the event. These discrepancies can arise from differing opinions on team form, potential injuries, or even weather conditions impacting the game. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise for informed betting.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different total corner outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. Traders set the odds by placing bids (to buy) and asks (to sell), and the market price fluctuates based on supply and demand. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe a particular outcome is likely, the higher the price of the corresponding contract will rise. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to provide a real-time assessment of the event's probability.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final number of total corners taken during the Levante vs Sevilla match will be used to determine the winning contracts. Official match data from a reputable sports data provider will serve as the basis for verifying the outcome. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct total corner range will be paid out according to the market's pricing at the time of resolution. The process is designed to be transparent and based on objectively verifiable data.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Levante or Sevilla would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect the style of play (e.g., strong winds), could also shift the market. Tactical changes announced by either manager, especially if they suggest a more attacking or defensive approach, could influence expectations regarding corner opportunities. Even public sentiment, reflected in social media or expert analysis, can contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
