However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, while this market incorporates the collective forecasts of many individual traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk assessments. If there’s a significant difference, it may present an opportunity for arbitrage, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to consider transaction fees and potential slippage.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of specific exact scores. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, making it a dynamic and responsive indicator of expectations for the Leones vs Emelec match.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Leones Futbol Club versus CS Emelec match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing football league or organization, ensuring a transparent and verifiable process. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final, confirmed score.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, team lineups, or changes in coaching staff for either Leones or Emelec could significantly impact the perceived probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match analysis from respected football commentators, could also sway trader sentiment. Furthermore, large volume trades by influential participants could create short-term price movements, reflecting a shift in overall market opinion.
