This market refers to the cricket match between Southern Super Stars and India Tigers scheduled for March 22 2026 in Legends Cricket League. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the opinions of individuals willing to put their capital at risk. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there’s strong public sentiment or information not fully captured by sportsbook algorithms. It’s useful to compare the probabilities implied by both to identify potential value or areas of disagreement.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities in real-time, reflecting the evolving expectations of participants.
This market resolves around Mar 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Legends Cricket League match between Southern Super Stars and India Tigers, as reported by recognized sports news sources. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual result of the game. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome will receive a payout.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather conditions affecting the match could lead to significant shifts in sentiment. Unexpected performance during the match itself, such as a key player getting out early or a sudden change in momentum, will also likely impact trading activity. Public opinion and media coverage surrounding the teams and players involved can also play a role in shaping market expectations and driving price movements.
