Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, incorporating a margin for profit, while this market allows traders to openly buy and sell based on their individual assessments. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it's important to remember that prediction market odds are dynamic and can change rapidly as new information becomes available.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders submit buy and sell orders for each possible outcome. The price of each outcome adjusts based on the supply and demand for those orders. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that the odds are directly determined by the collective actions of traders, rather than a fixed algorithm or predetermined probabilities. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the most accurate prediction of the event's outcome.

This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winner of Map 1 in the Legacy vs TheMongolz match will determine the winning outcome. Resolution will depend on official match results published by the tournament organizers. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to ensure accuracy and finalize the market settlement. Traders who correctly predicted the map 1 winner will receive a payout based on the final odds at the time of resolution.

Several signals could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, team strategies, or unexpected roster changes for either Legacy or TheMongolz could shift trader sentiment. In-game performance during other matches leading up to this event might also provide insights and impact the odds. Major upsets in similar matches, or announcements about map bans or picks, could also cause significant movement. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of each team's chances of winning Map 1 has the potential to move this market.
