In the upcoming match between Leeds United FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC, scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 7:30 AM ET: This market will resolve to "Leeds United FC" if Leeds United FC are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Tottenham Hotspur FC" if Tottenham Hotspur FC are the first to score in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the first half (first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Premier League (https://www.premierleague.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. As more information becomes available – such as team news or weather conditions – the prediction market odds tend to converge towards a more accurate probability, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. It’s a useful comparison point for informed bettors.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous exchange mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As traders exchange shares, the prices adjust, reflecting the collective assessment of the likelihood of either team scoring first. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current probability of Tottenham Hotspur FC scoring first in the first half is 49.0%, based on trading activity.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team, if any, scores the first goal during the first half of the Leeds United FC versus Tottenham Hotspur FC match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. The platform will then distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the first team to score.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Leeds United or Tottenham Hotspur would likely cause price adjustments. Unexpected changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before kickoff could also shift probabilities. Even weather conditions on match day, such as heavy rain or strong winds, might impact the style of play and influence the likelihood of a quick goal. Major pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators could also sway trader sentiment and move the market.
