However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome, leading to potentially more accurate probabilities as more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, biases, or access to unique information among market participants. It's often useful to compare the implied probabilities from both sources to identify potential value.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different potential exact scores for the first half. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust accordingly, providing a dynamic and real-time assessment of the likely outcome. The market’s efficiency depends on the volume of trading and the diversity of opinions represented among participants.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official first half result of the Leeds United FC vs. Manchester United FC match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score at the end of the first half, as declared by the official match data, will determine the winning outcome. Any delays or postponements to the match may affect the resolution timeline, but the outcome will always be based on the official result as reported by trusted sources.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Leeds United or Manchester United would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team formations or tactical approaches announced before the match could also shift expectations. Even weather conditions on match day might play a role, as they can affect the style of play and scoring opportunities. Any significant public sentiment shifts, reflected in media coverage or expert analysis, could also contribute to price movements in this market.
