Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket, aims to reflect the true probability of an event occurring. While sportsbooks might initially favor Paris Saint-Germain FC due to their overall reputation, the prediction market may present a different view based on factors like recent team form, injuries, and other relevant information. It’s common to see discrepancies, offering potential value for informed traders.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in Le Havre AC to score first, the price of those shares increases, and the implied probability rises accordingly. The market efficiently aggregates information from a diverse group of participants, leading to a dynamic and potentially more accurate assessment of the likelihood of either team finding the net first in the opening half.

This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on official match data and verified against reliable sports news sources. The platform will then finalize the outcome and distribute payouts to traders holding shares in the winning outcome.
