In the upcoming Ligue 1 game between Le Havre AC and FC Lorient, scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 11:15 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the halftime score of the Le Havre AC vs. FC Lorient match originally scheduled for November 8, 2026 at 11:15 AM ET, considering only goals scored within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time; second-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual halftime score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from Ligue 1 (https://www.ligue1.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, whereas this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the probability of each exact first-half score. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, we may see the prediction market price move in that direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a substantial amount of trading occurs, offering potential arbitrage opportunities for those who identify mispricings.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact first-half scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective assessment of the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing opinions. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more shares purchased for a given outcome, the higher its price rises, indicating increased confidence in that result. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated and responsive to new developments.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score at the end of the first half of the Le Havre AC vs. FC Lorient match will determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a recognized sports data provider. Traders holding shares in the correct exact score will be paid out according to the market’s pricing at the time of resolution, while those holding shares in incorrect outcomes will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Le Havre AC or FC Lorient would likely cause significant shifts. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to heavily impact the style of play, could also affect trading activity. Additionally, any pre-match analysis from reputable sports analysts predicting a specific tactical approach or likely scoreline could sway market sentiment. Finally, even large trading volume itself can create momentum and drive price changes, independent of external news.
