Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a more accurate forecast of events than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and widely publicized, offering a convenient comparison point. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information incorporated into the odds, or variations in the incentives of those setting the prices. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, potentially leading to more efficient pricing in this market.
