Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the aggregate wisdom of crowd predictions. If a significant discrepancy exists between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it might suggest the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. It’s important to note that prediction markets can sometimes be more accurate than traditional forecasts, especially when a large and informed group of traders participates. However, sportsbooks have extensive modeling and expert analysis informing their lines.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adapt to new information and changing perceptions. The market's efficiency relies on active participation from informed traders.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Lazebnyi vs. Kozachuk match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine the winning outcome. Traders who held shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution. The exact payout amount will depend on the share price when the market closes.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market before Oct 25, 2026. Any news regarding the physical condition of either Lazebnyi or Kozachuk, such as injuries or illness, would likely have a significant impact. Changes in their recent performance, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions (if the match is outdoors) could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the event, such as venue changes or rule modifications, could also cause movement. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of the competitors’ chances of winning has the potential to move this market.
