Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. This can lead to prediction market odds being more accurate, particularly closer to the event, as they incorporate a broader range of perspectives and information than a single sportsbook might.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are traded, the price of each share fluctuates, reflecting the collective prediction of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. For example, a share priced at 60 means the market is currently assigning a 60% chance to that outcome in the LASK Linz vs. SK Rapid match.

This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official second-half result of the LASK Linz vs. SK Rapid match, as reported by a recognized sports data provider. The platform will verify the outcome against these sources to determine which shares will pay out. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand the resolution process for this market.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market before Oct 11, 2026. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or even weather conditions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or tactical changes might also impact predictions. Furthermore, real-time updates during the first half of the match, such as early goals or red cards, will likely cause significant price movements as traders react to the evolving game situation and adjust their forecasts for the second half.
