This set of markets focuses on predicting the margin of victory for either the LA Chargers or the SEA Seahawks specifically in the second half of their football game, including any overtime periods. Outcomes are determined solely by points scored after halftime.
All markets resolve based exclusively on points scored during the second half (including overtime) of the specified Pro Football game between the LA Chargers and SEA Seahawks. A market resolves to 'Yes' if the listed team wins the second half by a margin exceeding the specified point differential. For Seattle markets, resolution requires SEA to win the second half by more than the stated points (ranging from 2.5 to 13.5). For Los Angeles markets, resolution requires LAC to win the second half by more than the stated points (ranging from 2.5 to 10.5). Only the point differential from the second half determines resolution; any first-half results are irrelevant. All outcomes are evaluated after the game concludes, including any overtime periods played during the second half.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular result. It's important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the second half of the Chargers-Seahawks game. The price of each contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that spread occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time indication of expectations. The current price indicates what traders collectively believe is the most likely outcome, and is influenced by a wide range of factors.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final second half spread of the Chargers-Seahawks game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result reported by the league, and will determine which contracts pay out. Traders who correctly predicted the second half spread will receive a payout based on the contract price at the time of purchase. The outcome will be clearly indicated on Kalshi once it is officially determined.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any significant news regarding player injuries to key players on either the Chargers or the Seahawks would likely cause movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the passing or running game, could also shift expectations. Additionally, in-game performance during the first half, such as a dominant showing by one team, could lead to adjustments in the market price as traders react to the unfolding events. Public sentiment and late-breaking analysis could also play a role.
