Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, aiming to profit from the spread. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, representing a wisdom-of-the-crowd approach. While sportsbook odds may initially seem different, they can converge as new information becomes available and both markets react to the same data. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before the event gains significant attention.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe in a particular outcome, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will climb. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market accurately reflects the collective intelligence of those trading on the platform, creating a probabilistic forecast.

This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Kuzmenko vs. Vasylets match. The platform will rely on widely available and trusted sources to determine the winner, ensuring a transparent and accurate resolution process. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies based on the final result.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding the players’ form, potential injuries, or changes in their training regimens could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the match schedule or venue could also have an impact. Furthermore, significant media coverage or expert analysis predicting a particular outcome could sway the market. As the event draws closer, even minor updates can lead to noticeable price movements as traders refine their predictions.
