Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own research and beliefs, potentially leading to different probabilities assigned to each outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly favors one result, or when new information emerges that isn’t yet fully priced into sportsbook lines.
