Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own research and information. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities of an outcome, and differences can arise due to varying levels of information and analytical approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event's potential results. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and sentiment. The current market reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Krol Yan vs. Lobas Valentyn fight, as determined by the relevant sporting authorities. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency.
