Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and internal analysis, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Often, prediction markets can be more accurate than traditional polls or analyst predictions, as traders have a financial incentive to be correct. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison, and discrepancies may present arbitrage opportunities.

The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand; no external factors directly influence the pricing on Polymarket. The more traders who believe in a particular outcome, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will climb.
