Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of bettors, potentially differing from those set by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying levels of market efficiency. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks, especially in situations where public sentiment shifts rapidly.
