Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market is driven purely by participants’ beliefs about the outcome. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those seen here, it could indicate a perceived informational edge within the prediction market. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies and information sources. Discrepancies can arise due to differing analyses and risk assessments.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous exchange mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, constantly updating as new information becomes available.
