On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous, decentralized exchange. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether an albatross will be scored during the Compliance Solutions Championship. The price of a 'yes' share fluctuates based on supply and demand – as more people believe an albatross is likely, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to reflect the collective intelligence of the market participants, providing a real-time probability assessment.
This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, following the conclusion of the Compliance Solutions Championship. The outcome will be determined by whether an albatross (a score of three under par on a single hole) is officially recorded during any round of the tournament. The result will be verified against credible public reporting of the tournament scores. The market will then settle, and shares will pay out accordingly – 'yes' shares will pay $1, while 'no' shares will be worth $0.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Unexpectedly favorable or challenging weather conditions at the tournament could impact scoring difficulty, potentially increasing or decreasing the likelihood of an albatross. Significant changes in player form or injuries to key contenders could also shift expectations. Furthermore, any news regarding course modifications or changes to the rules of play could also move the market. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of an albatross being scored will likely be reflected in the price.
