Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view through trading activity on Polymarket. This can lead to odds discrepancies, potentially offering value to those who identify these differences. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the likelihood of that outcome occurring, as determined by the collective actions of all traders participating in the market. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date assessment of the event's potential results.

This market resolves around Oct 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on which team—Korea Republic or Uzbekistan—wins the second half of the match. The official result, as reported by recognized sports authorities, will be used to determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders who hold shares in the correct outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at the time of resolution.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced before the second half could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected events during the first half of the match, such as a red card or a significant goal, would also likely cause rapid price movements. Furthermore, general shifts in public opinion or analysis from sports commentators could impact the market, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions accordingly.
