Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that information not yet reflected in sportsbook odds is known to traders. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are traded, the price of those shares adjusts, reflecting the collective prediction of the market. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a 'yes' share indicates the probability of that outcome occurring, while the price of a 'no' share represents the probability of the opposing outcome. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date information and sentiment.

This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Kolesnykov vs. Troian match as reported by the governing sports body. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies for future events.

Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to Nov 6, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in prior matches could shift trader sentiment. Publicly available analysis from sports experts, or even significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks, could also impact the market. Unexpected announcements related to the match’s scheduling or location could also lead to price fluctuations as traders reassess the probabilities.
