Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective intelligence of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. Often, you’ll find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional polls or analyst predictions, as traders have ‘skin in the game.’ Discrepancies between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds can highlight potential value opportunities for informed bettors, though it’s important to consider the different motivations behind each type of forecasting.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective prediction about the Kobets vs. Melashenko match. The current price reflects the aggregated assessment of all traders on the platform.
This market resolves around Nov 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
