Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from sportsbook odds, which are often set by analysts. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like biases or marketing strategies into their pricing, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If prediction market odds significantly diverge from sportsbook odds, it may suggest that the crowd perceives a different probability of a particular outcome than the professionals. It’s a useful comparison point for anyone following the Lech Poznań vs. Leverkusen match.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform doesn’t use any proprietary formulas; the market’s price is purely a function of trader activity and expectations for the Lech Poznań vs. Leverkusen match.
