Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources of the participants. Sportsbooks set odds to maximize profit, factoring in a margin for themselves, while prediction market participants are incentivized to express their true beliefs about the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, especially when there’s a lot of informed trading activity. It’s common to see this market reflect a different probability distribution than what is offered by conventional sportsbooks, potentially revealing insights not captured by those outlets.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. The price of a share reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by new information, expert opinions, and shifts in sentiment among traders, creating a dynamic and evolving assessment of the likely result of the Dmytro vs. Sokoltsov match.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Dmytro vs. Sokoltsov match, as declared by the governing sports organization. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand when and how this market will be settled.
