Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, with this market potentially offering more favorable odds if the crowd disagrees with the sportsbook's initial assessment. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Polymarket and at sportsbooks tend to converge as more information becomes available and both sides refine their predictions. It's useful to compare both to gain a broader understanding.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of each share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding shares will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective wisdom of the crowd participating on Polymarket.

This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
