Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective intelligence of traders on Polymarket, aims to represent the true probabilities as perceived by the crowd. Therefore, you may observe differences between the implied probabilities in this market and those offered by sportsbooks, potentially revealing where the crowd disagrees with professional oddsmakers regarding the likely outcome of the game.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares indicating a higher probability of a particular result, the price of those shares increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds continuously adapt to new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the official result of the KHL game between HC Dynamo Moscow and Amur Khabarovsk as reported by the KHL’s official website or other widely recognized sports data providers. The market will settle to 100% for the winning team, and 0% for the losing team. Any game that is canceled or postponed may have its resolution date adjusted accordingly.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either HC Dynamo Moscow or Amur Khabarovsk would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team performance leading up to the game, such as winning or losing streaks, could also shift market sentiment. Additionally, any unexpected announcements related to coaching changes or team strategies could cause traders to reassess their probabilities, leading to fluctuations in the price of shares within this market.
