Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the varying incentives and information sources of participants. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, especially when they incorporate information not readily reflected in sportsbook lines. It’s common to see discrepancies, as this market represents a different form of forecasting based on a diverse set of informed traders, rather than a centralized oddsmaking process.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence. The current price of shares indicates the market’s assessment of each player’s chances of winning.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
