These markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second quarter of the Kentucky vs Oklahoma college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven by individual traders expressing their beliefs about the likely outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. Often, prediction markets are considered more accurate than traditional polls or expert opinions, but it’s crucial to compare and consider both sources when forming your own view.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the final 2nd quarter total. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a specific outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations as the event approaches. The current price reflects the collective forecast of all participants.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the 2nd quarter of the Kentucky vs Oklahoma game will be used to determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on official game statistics and will be publicly available shortly after the game concludes. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct total will receive a payout based on the contract's price at resolution.
Several factors could influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Kentucky or Oklahoma would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they impact scoring, could also shift the market. Furthermore, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions might affect trader sentiment. As game day approaches, even the release of starting lineups could trigger price adjustments in this market, as traders react to the latest information available.
