Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market aims to represent the true probability as assessed by traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it could signal an opportunity for arbitrage, where traders can profit by betting on both venues. However, it’s important to remember that prediction markets are inherently forward-looking and can react quickly to new information, potentially diverging from sportsbook lines.
