This set of markets tracks how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Kansas and Utah. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Kansas vs Utah college football game scheduled for Oct 10, 2026. Each individual market has a specific numerical threshold – ranging from over 2.5 points to over 27.5 points – that must be exceeded for the market to resolve to 'Yes'. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during regulation 4th quarter time count; overtime points are excluded from all calculations.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a collective wisdom that can be more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, particularly as the event approaches. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many independent traders. However, discrepancies can exist due to differing risk assessments and market dynamics. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information, potentially leading to odds that diverge from those offered by sportsbooks, especially regarding the final total for the Kansas vs Utah 4th quarter.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the 4th quarter total. The price of a contract indicates the probability of that specific total occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the collective assessment of all participants, and the market dynamically adjusts to new information and changing sentiment. This creates a real-time probability assessment for the game’s final quarter.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official total points scored in the 4th quarter of the Kansas vs Utah game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and will be used to determine which contracts pay out. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual total will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for incorrect totals will not. The resolution process ensures a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Kansas or Utah would likely cause significant movement, as this directly impacts scoring potential. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they affect the style of play, could also shift expectations. In-game performance during the first three quarters, especially if one team establishes a dominant lead, could also influence trading activity. Additionally, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
