These markets evaluate different thresholds of points scored in the second half of a college football game between Kansas and Utah. Each threshold represents a specific level of scoring performance that must be exceeded for the market to resolve positively.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second half (including overtime) of the Kansas vs Utah college football game scheduled for October 10, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 6.5, 9.5, etc.), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can sometimes differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own insights. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of a decentralized exchange. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, especially close to the event.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Kansas vs Utah game's second half will be used to determine whether the total points scored were over or under the specified number. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and verifiable result. Traders holding contracts on the correct side will receive a payout of 100 USD per contract, minus any fees.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Kansas or Utah teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they impact scoring, could also play a role. Furthermore, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions could shift market sentiment. Even public betting patterns and expert analysis can influence trading activity and move the price of contracts before Oct 11, 2026.
