These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the final quarter of a college football matchup, with different thresholds defining a successful outcome. The focus is solely on points accumulated in that specific period, excluding any overtime scoring.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Kansas vs Kansas St. college football game scheduled for Oct 17, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the 4th quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on models and internal analysis, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – the prices in this market can adjust more rapidly than traditional sportsbook odds. It is common to see discrepancies between the two, especially closer to the event’s start, as traders incorporate new data and refine their predictions.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point total scored in the 4th quarter of the Kansas State vs Kansas football game will be used to determine whether the 'Over' or 'Under' contract pays out. The official game statistics, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will serve as the definitive record for settlement. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Kalshi following the conclusion of the game.
Several factors could significantly impact the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Kansas or Kansas State would likely cause movement, as it affects scoring potential. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the passing or running game, could also influence trading activity. Late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale might also play a role. Furthermore, large volume trades on Kalshi itself can create price fluctuations, reflecting shifts in trader sentiment.
