This event tracks the number of receptions achieved by specific players in an upcoming football game between Kansas City and Denver. The outcome depends on whether designated players meet or exceed specified reception thresholds during the full match, including any overtime periods.
Each market resolves to Yes if the named player records the specified number of receptions or more in the full game, including overtime. All contracts are protected: if a player participates in the first half but not afterward, the contract resolves to the pre-game fair price unless the reception threshold is met, in which case it settles based on actual statistics. Participation in a play nullified by penalty does not count, and players who never participate are subject to the fair price non-participation rule. The protected designation applies only to full-game contracts with an at-least payout criterion. Kalshi is not affiliated with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. As more information becomes available – like injury reports or weather forecasts – and as the event draws closer, you may see the odds on Kalshi converge with or diverge from sportsbook odds. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities, especially closer to the event date.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes for the total number of receptions. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders adjust their bids and asks based on their own analysis and expectations, creating a dynamic pricing mechanism. The market price essentially represents the collective forecast of all traders on Kalshi regarding the final reception count in the game.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final reception totals for both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos will be sourced from official game statistics. The market will determine the outcome based on the verified total number of receptions achieved by both teams combined during the game. Traders will then be able to see which outcomes were correctly predicted and receive payouts accordingly.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key wide receivers or tight ends for either team – such as injuries, changes in playing time, or even favorable/unfavorable matchups – would likely cause price movement. Unexpected weather conditions, particularly strong winds or heavy rain, could also influence the number of passing attempts and therefore receptions. Game script, such as a large early lead for one team, could lead to a more conservative offensive approach and fewer passing plays, impacting the final reception totals.
