Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often incorporating information and analysis not immediately available to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on team or player statistics and expert opinions, this market allows for continuous adjustment as new data emerges and more participants weigh in. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information access, varying analytical approaches, or simply the influence of market psychology. It's common to see prediction markets offer more nuanced probabilities than standard sportsbook offerings, particularly closer to the event date.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price fluctuates, reflecting the collective intelligence of the crowd. The current implied probability of a particular outcome is determined by the share price relative to $1, with higher prices indicating a greater likelihood of that outcome. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information.

This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Kaganovych vs. Bielokon match, as declared by the governing sporting body.
