In the upcoming UEFA Women's Champions League match between Juventus FC and OL Lyonnes, originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): This market will resolve to "Juventus FC" if Juventus FC are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "OL Lyonnes" if OL Lyonnes are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the game is canceled, does not start by Friday, November 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, this market will resolve to "Neither". The following abandonment rules apply only when this market's outcome was not already definitively determined under its rules before abandonment. If the game is abandoned, this market will resolve according to the official ruling of the governing body or event organizers on the abandoned game. If the result as played at the time of abandonment is declared to stand by Friday, November 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve based on the game as played. If the game is replayed or resumed from the point of abandonment and has an official result by Friday, November 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve based on the completed result. In any other case, including a result awarded that differs from the score as played, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve to "Neither".

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to express their own probabilities, potentially leading to more accurate predictions. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced a team’s chances, the odds here will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets converge towards what many consider the ‘true’ probability as the event approaches, though discrepancies can still exist due to differing risk appetites and information access.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares of OL Lyonnes scoring first, for example, the price of those shares will increase, and the price of Juventus shares will decrease. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability of OL Lyonnes scoring first is 48.0%, indicating how traders are currently weighting their expectations.
This market resolves around Nov 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team – Juventus FC or OL Lyonnes – scores the first goal in the match. The official match records will be used to determine the winning outcome. Any potential disputes will be handled according to Polymarket’s standard procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the odds in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Juventus or Lyonnes would likely cause significant shifts. Changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a recent match, could also impact trader sentiment. Even tactical announcements from the managers, like confirmed starting lineups or formation changes, could move the market. Furthermore, any public statements from key players or analysts offering their predictions might sway traders' opinions and alter the prices in this market.
