This market tracks the specific round in which either Joaquin Buckley or Mike Malott secures a decisive victory in their scheduled UFC Fight Night bout. Outcomes include knockout, technical knockout, submission, disqualification in a specified round, or a decision/draw/no contest across the full fight duration.
The markets resolve based on how and when either Joaquin Buckley or Mike Malott wins the fight scheduled for October 17, 2026. If a fighter wins by knockout (KO), technical knockout (TKO), submission, or disqualification (DQ) in a specified round (Round 1 through Round 5), the corresponding market for that fighter and round resolves to Yes. A win by decision—whether split, unanimous, or majority—or a draw, no contest, or technical decision (which is treated as a decision for settlement purposes) resolves the 'Decision / Draw / No Contest' market to Yes and does not count toward any round-specific win markets. No market resolves if the fight is canceled or otherwise voided without a definitive result.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and participant motivations than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders predicting the most likely outcome. As a result, you may find discrepancies between the two. Sportsbooks may initially offer odds heavily influenced by public perception, whereas this market can quickly adjust as informed traders weigh in. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds in accuracy, especially as the event approaches.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Buckley vs. Malott fight, including whether it ends by decision, knockout, submission, or other means. The platform will verify the result against established fight records and reporting from reputable sports news sources. Traders holding contracts on the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding injuries to either fighter, changes in their training regimens, or even pre-fight press conference statements could all shift the odds. Unexpected betting patterns at sportsbooks might also draw attention and impact trading volume. Furthermore, analysis from MMA experts and predictions from prominent figures in the sport could sway market sentiment. A significant shift in public opinion, driven by social media or media coverage, could also contribute to price movements in this market.
