Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of each venue. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, though this isn’t always the case. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view of the expected outcome.

The price of these shares reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment.
