Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the beliefs of a diverse group of traders. Therefore, discrepancies can arise based on differing information or analytical approaches. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information, and sometimes offer odds that diverge from those offered by sportsbooks, potentially indicating where the crowd believes value lies.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; increased buying pressure drives the price up, indicating growing confidence, while selling pressure lowers it. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly reflect new information and adjust expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Fajing Sun vs Jie Cui match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome. The market’s resolution process ensures a transparent and verifiable determination of the winning outcome.
